Moving to Hawaii is a big step. Why is it a significant change? Because It’s a different lifestyle. Sure, Hawaii is part of the United States but life overall it is different compared to the mainland. For one, the cost of living is high.
The cost of living here on the island is expensive! How does a single mother such as myself manage? Truthfully, I don’t. I am dependent on the system and family, at least for NOW. I am not ashamed to admit it because I know my situation is not FOREVER! I’m working hard for a better future and I am confident things will change.
I am genuinely grateful for the support of my family and the system. Accepting help is OK. If you’re new to Hawaii and need a little help getting settled, here are a few resources.
